I once asked Lonnie Plaxico how was playing with Dexter Gordon, he told me Dexter talked like how he played tenor sax. One of the reason we talk about jazz "language" is that it does feel like we are playing instruments as if we are talking.
I love Dexter's time feel, this one is like just a slight laid back feel but there's a strong push and forward motion in his rhythm.
