What is collected

When you sign in. Signing in with Patreon shares your Patreon user ID, name, email address, profile image, and membership status with this site, so the right lessons unlock. If you were given access through Skool, only your email address is stored. Sign-in tokens are stored so you stay logged in.

What you create here. Forum posts and attachments, reactions, saved lessons, your repertoire list, practice log entries, messages and feedback you send, and your conversations with the AI assistant.

When you book a lesson. Your name, email address, the time you requested, your timezone, and anything you write in the notes field.

When you sign up for the Weekly Hang.Which week you signed up for and when, so you get the “it's on” email and Yuto knows who's coming.

Traffic data. Aggregate page-view statistics through Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not fingerprint or track individuals across sites.

Abuse prevention. The booking form is open to anyone, so the network address it was submitted from is recorded with a daily counter, purely to stop one script from flooding the form. Those counters are deleted after 30 days and are used for nothing else.

How it is used

To run the site: unlock the content your membership covers, keep your own material (repertoire, practice log, saved lessons) available to you, let the Forum work, answer your questions, and schedule and confirm lessons. Email is used to send sign-in links, booking confirmations, and replies to messages you send.

Your data is not sold, rented, or shared for advertising. Nobody gets a mailing list out of this.

Google user data

The lesson booking feature connects to Yuto's own Google Calendar — not yours. Students never connect a Google account to this site.

That connection is used for exactly two things: reading busy/free times so already-booked hours aren't offered, and creating the calendar event for a confirmed lesson with the student invited. Only busy/free windows are read — the titles, guests, and contents of other calendar events are never requested or stored. What is stored from a booking is the ID and link of the event this site created for it, so the lesson can be cancelled later.

This site's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is never used for advertising, never sold, and never used to train AI models.

Services used

Running this site means a handful of companies process data on its behalf: Patreon (sign-in and membership), Cloudflare (hosting, database, analytics), Bunny.net (video delivery), Resend (email delivery), Google (calendar, for bookings), and Anthropic (the AI assistant). Payments for private lessons go through PayPal or a bank transfer — payment details never touch this site.

Messages you send to the AI assistant are processed to generate a reply and are not used to train anyone's models.

Keeping and deleting data

Your account data stays while your account exists. Booking and payment records are kept as business records for seven years, which is what tax rules require. If you want your account and its contents deleted, email yutokanazawa@gmail.com and say so — it gets done, and you can ask for a copy of what was stored first. Depending on where you live you may have a formal right to access, correct, or delete your data; the same email address is how you use it.

Cancelling your Patreon membership removes your access to paid content but does not by itself delete your account here.

Children

This site isn't intended for children under 13, and accounts aren't knowingly created for them. Younger students are welcome in private lessons — a parent or guardian should do the booking.

Changes and contact
