I first looked into Gill Evans's arrangement, then tried to play it on the guitar. That was playable but it sounded a bit too much block chords so I started to reducing some chords.
What I found is that we can play like a half of his chords, originally most of these melody lines were harmonized, then I started reducing them little by little.
For instance when there's 8th note block chords, we can reduce playing chord every quarter note then play in between notes as individual note also switching chords little bit.
Originally second chord was more of Gbmaj7/C or C7susb9, I used Bbm6 instead. The third chord was Fmaj7 but I kept Bbm harmony. Fourth and fifth chords were Gm9 and C7 but I used C13 instead.
By the way there's amazing Kurt Rosenwinkel solo on this tune, there's his trio track on youtube. He didn't really play any chord for the head, Gilad also played pretty simple cool harmony as well.
