Myungsup Shin from United East Jazz Quintet told me to bring more new songs to the band reunion concert / rec in July, especially the similar vibe like Desert Front that I recorded both on my first and UEJQ album. I felt very encouraged to write more melodic music as it's pretty vulnerable things to do in nyc, a lot of technical and tricky tune are more praised better here while people can't play it well if it's too complicated. So I started writing music with my 7 string guitar 2 days ago, I got quite a lot of ideas but I wasn't able to consolidate them in one piece. I also need some inspiration to write a music as well. Then last night this idea came out, it's called Way Out East, it's about how people are getting out there, either advancing career in the city or traveling across the globe. The music starts from open cinematic rubato intro, it's simple in terms of harmony also the solo is minor blues in G. Question: can you tell which meter I used in this song? *I'm not playing 5th on Am7b5
